Channel 2′s Chris Jose spoke to the victim’s mother who said she will not rest until her son’s killer is found.

Landon Andrews was a three-sport athlete who spent many hours on the baseball field at Adams Park.

Just like any, kid he had big dreams, which were cut short when someone shot him at a house party two months ago.

Shawnda Schafer will spend her first Christmas without her son.

Cherokee County Sheriff’s investigators believe a person of interest may know who killed Landon Andrews.

Shawnda Schafer says said she is frustrated with the process.

“Because nobody is coming forward,” she said.

Detectives say that’s made it difficult to solve the case. They’re following up on tips, but this person of interest has not been identified yet.

The shooting happened in October at a house party on Victoria Road. Deputies say a hundred people showed up.

Neighbor Kurt Merolla called 911 after hearing the shooting.

“Three sets of gunfire. Five shots. Boom, boom, boom, boom,” he said.

Investigators believe people in this fight, or those witnessed it, ended up at the same party.

“I’m going to do whatever I can because I want justice for my child,” Schafer said.

Schafer believes this person might be the link to find her son’s killer.

“I’m sure if the shoe was on the other foot, as that parent, they would want those same results,” she said.

Another teen was also shot, but was not seriously hurt. Police have arrested one person, but said they are not Landon’s killer.
