CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A traffic stop on Interstate 75 led to the arrest of a man accused of transporting a large amount of marijuana and marijuana edibles through metro Atlanta.

On Wednesday afternoon, a Cherokee County deputy pulled over a vehicle on I-75 for a traffic violation.
During the stop, authorities said the deputy discovered that the driver, identified as Willie Espy, 45, of Dearborn, Mich., was transporting a large amount of marijuana and marijuana-infused edibles.

Authorities said some of the edibles were packaged in containers designed to resemble popular children’s candy products.
Espy was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of a Schedule I drug with intent to distribute.
He was booked into the Cherokee Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
