SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Shots fired at an apartment complex left bullet holes in a teenager's bedroom.
Neighbors at the Hickory Park Apartments told Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach they woke up to multiple gunshots from different guns just outside their building Sunday morning.
One of the bullets from the shootout went through a 13-year-old girl's bedroom only about 3 feet over her bed where she was sleeping. Her 6-year-old brother was in the next room. A second bullet went into the bedroom of another teen in the apartment right below.
The 13-year-old was so shaken up she said she had a panic attack after seeing just how close the bullet came to hitting her.
"It went from my window to across the room to another wall," said mother Aisha Dorsey. "I rolled on the floor and started screaming for my kids, 'Carl, Alicea get down!' Like that."
While Gehlbach was inside talking to the victims, residents said someone fired two more shots just outside the complex.
Fulton County police searched the area for shell casings and are investigating.
