ATLANTA — A southwest Atlanta community hopes that new surveillance video of a deadly double shooting that killed a store owner will lead to an arrest.
Investigators tell Channel 2’s Matt Johnson they believe the killers wanted to rob the victims.
The dramatic surveillance video captures the Sunday night double shooting that killed Saiful Bhuyia, 36.
At least one of the men is armed in the video when police say they attempted to Bhuyia and a co-worker in their car outside Southern Grocery.
“The shooting was right across the street from us,” said Rashid Nuri, who runs a community garden in the neighborhood.
That is why he attended an emergency town hall meeting with police Thursday night about the latest murder at the store.

“It's not good for those children that are right there and the people moving into the community, so there needs to be a change,” Nuri told Johnson.
Atlanta Police Zone 1 Cmdr. Maj. Charles Hampton told the crowd that investigators have leads in the case.
Police say a robber killed the previous longtime owner inside the same store on Westview Drive about seven years ago.
“Crime is down but the perception of the community is that it's still up and that's important to me as the zone commander,” Hampton told Johnson.
Neighbors said they believe someone knows who pulled the trigger and brought violence into their community.
“I hope they recognize whoever the assailants are and they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Nuri said.
