Three injured when DJ opens fire inside southwest Atlanta nightclub

ATLANTA — Three people are recovering from injuries after they were shot while at a nightclub in southwest Atlanta early Sunday morning.

Police say around 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, a DJ at the Silver Ultra Lounge on Sylvan Road became involved in a dispute and began firing at the floor.

One woman was hit by a ricochet bullet and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Two other men were found at the hospital later in stable condition and said they were shot during the incident.

Officers said the suspect, 25-year-old Byron Xavier Alexander, ran from the scene.

He was found a short time later at a nearby gas station and arrested. He has been charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and criminal trespass. He is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail.
