Friend of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ stars hit, killed in hit-and-run

ATLANTA — UPDATE: APD released new video of the SUV in hit-and-run that killed friend of RHOA stars. Police say they are now looking for a gray Grand Cherokee.

Police said a man was hit by a car and killed early Saturday morning as he was walking in the Lindbergh area.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. at Piedmont Avenue and Lindbergh Drive.

The vehicle, a dark-colored Range Rover, left the scene, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where he died.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as Ethan McCallister, 28.

Police are still searching for the driver who hit him.

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kim Zolciak-Biermann and daughter Brielle Biermann said on Instagram that they knew McCallister. Brielle Biermann called McCallister her “best friend.”

“You are my happiness my joy my light in this very dark world.. the life of the party and the sweetest soul I’ve been blessed to know. You are my best friend. My heart. My everything,” the 24-year-old wrote.

Zolciak-Biermann also posted about McCallister’s death, saying that she will “make sure justice is served.”

A GoFundMe account has been set up to raise money for a memorial for McCallister.
