ATLANTA — A bond hearing is scheduled for Friday morning for 15-year-old Kroy Biermann Jr., who is facing multiple felony charges in a sexual assault case.

According to an indictment, prosecutors charged Biermann as an adult and accuse him of forcing himself on a girl younger than 16 at an Alpharetta gym. The indictment includes seven charges, among them aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery.

Court records show Biermann was arrested on Aug. 17.

The case has drawn significant attention because Biermann is the son of reality television personality Kim Zolciak and former Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann.

In a statement to Page Six, Zolciak defended her son and denied the allegations.

“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling,” Zolciak said. “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”

Biermann’s attorney has also denied the allegations and maintains his client is innocent.

“First and foremost, this is not the kind of information that should be for public dissemination. These are juveniles,” the attorney said in a statement.

The attorney further argued that Biermann passed a polygraph examination and claimed there is evidence of prior false allegations by the accuser. He also said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation found no male DNA in areas where the alleged victim reported she was assaulted.

“The fact that he’s been arrested and is being held without bond is a tragedy. He is not only presumed innocent but is in fact innocent,” the attorney said.

A judge is expected to consider whether Biermann should be released on bond as the case moves forward.

The hearing is set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
