IRS seeks special agents to fight rising tax fraud and financial crimes

ATLANTA — IRS Criminal Investigation has launched a national recruitment campaign to hire new special agents to combat financial crimes.

The recruitment push is aimed at handling an increasing demand for investigators as tax fraud, money laundering and other financial offenses become more complex.

IRS-CI operates as the law enforcement branch of the Internal Revenue Service and is the only federal agency with investigative authority over criminal violations of the Internal Revenue Code.

The agency’s Atlanta Field Office covers regional operations across four Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Those who are committed to public service and ready to tackle complex financial investigations are encouraged to apply and join this mission-driven agency.”
