ATLANTA — OPEC announced Wednesday that it will sharply cut oil production to support sagging oil prices.
Energy ministers will cut oil production by 2 million barrels a day starting in November.
Critics fear it will raise prices at the pump.
The fall in oil prices was good for U.S. drivers, who saw gas prices also fall after peaks in June.

According to AAA, gas prices have started to slowly rise across Georgia.
Currently, drivers are paying an average of $3.23 a gallon for regular unleaded gas in Cherokee County.
Prices are a penny cheaper in Douglas County. In Fayette County, drivers are paying $3.32 a gallon.
The average price for gas in Georgia is currently $3.17 a gallon, compared to the national average of $3.83 a gallon.
Gov. Brian Kemp announced on Tuesday that he has suspended the state’s gas tax once again through mid-November to help offset rising prices.
