ATLANTA — Work on a new section of the Beltline’s Northwest Trail in Atlanta is expected to start Thursday.

Atlanta Beltline leaders say the nearly 1-mile segment will run from Trabert Avenue near Monday Night Brewing to Tanyard Creek Park.

They say the project will help connect the Ardmore, Berkeley Park and Collier Hills neighborhoods.

The new section will include a pedestrian bridge over Northside Drive and create a safer, more accessible connection for people walking and biking through northwest Atlanta.
