ATLANTA — Local students have a new chance to work toward a career in marine biology.

The Clayton County School District is partnering with the Georgia aquarium to offer classes on marine science.
On Monday the aquarium hosted hundreds of Clayton County students in downtown Atlanta.
The district calls the program the “marine science pathway”.

The program involves students of all ages. High schools will offer courses on oceanography and veterinary science.
Monday’s event centered on a book about sea otters.
Clayton County says more events will bring in other grade levels.
