ATLANTA — A high school senior was going to spend her prom night in the hospital, but staff at the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta made sure she had a night to remember.

Faith, who is also class president, is battling leukemia. When her nurses found out the disease was going to keep her from going to prom, they took matters into their own hands.

The nurses created their best “promposal” sign and asked Faith to join them for a mini prom night in an inpatient unit turned party area.

Faith got dressed up in a gown and high heels and was even named prom queen.

“Pain and disease were no match for the love she felt, and even though it looked a little different, it was a night Faith will never forget,” a Facebook post from the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center read.
