ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating two shootings at the same northeast Atlanta gas station in just over a 24-hour period.
At around 2 a.m. on Thursday, a woman was shot by a man at a Chevron gas station on the 100 block of Ponce De Leon Avenue before the man fled the scene, police said.
Before that, on Tuesday just before midnight, police arrived at the same gas station, finding a man shot. A man fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.

In both incidents, the victim was transported to the hospital and considered alert, conscious and breathing.
It’s unclear if these incidents are related, but police continue to investigate and determine the circumstances that led to both shootings.

Gas station shootings have been a frequent occurrence in the metro Atlanta area, with numerous deaths and shootings just this year alone.
