Detectives said they are searching for 25-year-old Dedric Howard in the shooting incident which happened after he and Herndon got into a fight that extended into the parking lot.

Detectives did not provide a description of Howard saying only that he is wanted for murder and that they have a warrant for his arrest.

They are asking anyone with information on Howard to contact police or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Atlanta. You can call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or submit the tip via the Crime Stoppers website.

The shooting was not the first incident at the Harwell Road lounge. In February 2021, three men were shot at the lounge. Witnesses said a car drove up in front of the club and fired several shots. In February, 2020, a man was found dead on the sidewalk near the club.

Over the past week there have been at least five shootings at nightclubs in the city.

Early Saturday morning one man was killed and three others injured in a shooting at a northwest Atlanta sports bar. Friday morning, two people were shot in midtown after walking outside a nightclub on Crescent Avenue.

This past Tuesday morning, Atlanta police responded to a “shots fired” call at a club on Trinity Avenue. Last weekend, they were called to Loca Luna in northeast Atlanta when someone reportedly opened fire in the parking lot, sending people running for cover. Nobody was injured in the incident. Shortly after the incident at Loca Luna, the restaurant lost its lease in the shopping plaza it operated out of.
