2 shot in Atlanta, neighbor says he found them

ATLANTA — Police are investigating a double shooting.

It happened after 8 on James P. Brawley Drive.

Channel 2’s Eryn Rogers is live at the scene for WSB Tonight at 11 p.m.

Atlanta PD said a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were found with several gunshot wounds at 403 James P. Brawley Dr. NW.

The woman had wounds to her abdomen, and the man had wounds to his chest and abdomen.

The victims were alert when taken to the hospital.

The crime scene unit arrived within the last hour. Police still have this part of the street blocked off.

The two were conscious, alert and breathing when police arrived.

“I was just chillin. I prob heard like eight shots,” Smoke, a neighbor, said. I had to come outside and see what’s going on."

He told Rogers he was on his way out when he saw the two shot.

“I came outside seen two folks on the ground, you feel me. That’s just how it be,” Smoke said.

Police are still looking for who might have shot these two people. Preliminary investigation indicates he may be known to the victims.
