ATLANTA — An Atlanta firefighter on his way home from work Thursday morning accidentally shot himself, police say.
The incident happened near the intersection of Pollard and Ralph David Abernathy boulevards, near Turner Field.
Atlanta police say the firefighter shot himself in the leg while driving his personal vehicle around 8:30 a.m.
The firefighter was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
