4 children missing from Riverdale found safe in Indiana

RIVERDALE, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned four children reported missing from a Riverdale home have been found safe.

Anthony Delaney, 6, Zymeer Delaney, 4, Jeramiah Leavell, 3, and Osiyrus Leavell, 2, were last seen around 10:30 a.m. Saturday at their grandmother's home on Mayo Drive in Riverdale.

Investigators told Channel 2's Ryan Young that the children's parents, Anthony Leavell  and Sasha Delaney, were supposed to return them to their grandmother Saturday morning and that never happened.

Family members told Young, the children were found safe in Elkhart, Indiana.

Officer told Young the case was being considered a kidnapping because the parents did not have custody of the children.

Riverdale Police Chief  Samuel Patterson said some of the children have medical conditions that needed attention.

"Unfortunately, one of them has a medical condition and another one has medication that is required. And we're very concerned that the children get the appropriate medical attention that they need," Patterson said.

Investigators said they went to the parents' home to look for the children and the house had been cleared out.
