Channel 2's Audrey Washington snapped pictures as crews worked to remove a car, that slammed into the back of the school bus.

Washington spoke with officials there, they told her seven students were on the bus at the time.

The bus driver and the students were not injured.

Two people from one of the cars were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries, but Washington's told they'll be OK.

As for what caused the crash, which badly damaged the vehicles and brought traffic to a standstill, is still under investigation.

"I know one vehicle lost control trying to avoid another vehicle and they're the ones that crashed," Darin Downey, with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department, said.

"There was a school bus there with a car in back of it and there was another car in the ditch with the airbags deployed, pretty nasty accident," commuter Dan Woodard said.

Authorities said this crash could have been worse because another bus was on scene at the time of the accident.

Troopers charged one of the drivers with following too closely and no proof of insurance.
