Jovita Moore Joins Justin Farmer At 11 P.M.

ATLANTA,None — Bill Hoffman, vice president and general manager for Channel 2 WSB-TV, Atlanta's most watched television station, announced that Jovita Moore will join Justin Farmer on the Channel 2 Action News Nightbeat at 11 p.m. starting Thursday, May 26. Farmer has co-anchored the late news with Monica Pearson since July 2010.

"As Monica moves to 4 p.m. tomorrow and continues to anchor our 6 p.m. newscast, Jovita will add the late news to her anchor duties," said Hoffman. "We want to thank Monica for devoting 35 years to the 11 p.m. newscast."

In late April WSB-TV announced that Channel 2 Action News at 4 p.m. would begin May 26, the day after The Oprah Winfrey Show airs its final new program. Included in that announcement was the naming of the 4 p.m. anchors Monica Pearson and John Bachman. Channel 2 Action News attracts more viewers in each program than any station in the market and consistently wins the local news ratings in every newscast.
