After calling numerous Hawaiian hotels, Channel 2 tracked Hall and her husband, Louis, to a Marriott resort. Pearson spotted Hall at the hotel before she left to go sightseeing with her husband Sunday. When the couple returned, Pearson confronted her in the lobby and asked for a sit-down to hear her side.
Oh, I can't do that, Hall replied.
She told Pearson she had to decline because I want to get my voice back. As you can see, I can't even talk.
Pearson offered to let her decide the time and question parameters, but Hall said she needed to recover from an unspecified condition.
OK, well as you can see, I'm not well and right now, I'm trying to get well, she told Pearson.
