Gillsville man targets Georgia Lottery prize, wins $15K

ATLANTA — One lucky Gillsville man has banked a $15,000 prize from a Georgia Lottery second chance promotion. David McCue, 52, was selected as a big winner in the Georgia Lottery’s $1 & $2 Play It Again Second Chance Promotion.

He won his prize Tuesday in Atlanta.

As a monthly grand prize winner in the Georgia Lottery’s $1 & $2 Play It Again Second Chance Promotion, McCue won a chance to select one envelope from 20, with prizes ranging from $5,000 to $100,000.

The envelope McCue chose contained a $15,000 prize.

“I am very much so excited,” he exclaimed. “I don’t have the words right now, but it’s great to have a second chance! The Georgia Lottery made it possible.”

McCue considers himself “incredibly” lucky.

“I’ll pay off some bills and put the rest away for a rainy day,” he shared. “It will eventually take care of a lot of things.”
