Troopers and deputies arrested William Fields on charges of fleeing and eluding, driving on a suspended license, driving under the influence and a host of other traffic offenses.
Fields was also found to be in possession of over 7 ounces of methamphetamine and other illegal narcotics, according to the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (CMANS).
“We extend our gratitude to all agencies involved for their dedication and swift action. Together, we are committed to protecting the citizens of Pickens County,” the department said on social media.
