ATLANTA, Ga.,None — Georgia Aquarium invites guests to "toast to imaginations" at the sixth annual Aqua Vino on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011. Wine and food enthusiasts will enjoy and sample more than 200 fine wines from around the world, gourmet food from Atlanta's premier restaurants, a live, silent and wine auction, as well as lively music.
Animal advocate and television personality, Jeff Corwin, will entertain guests of Aqua Vino as he hosts the unique event. Aqua Vino provides guests with an unforgettable evening featuring the best in food and wine while relishing in the backdrop of the grand Oceans Ballroom and the Aquarium's six distinct, vibrant galleries.
A VIP tasting experience will be held for guests to have exclusive access to a private lounge featuring reserved wines, premium cheeses and access to behind-the-scenes tours throughout the evening. Red carpet arrival and photo opportunities for VIP tasting begins at 6 p.m.
As the largest fundraiser for the nonprofit organization, proceeds from Aqua Vino will support Georgia Aquarium's veterinary services and research efforts. Made possible by fundraisers like Aqua Vino, the Aquarium conducts and leads research on environmental and conservation issues on a global scale. The knowledge that is gathered is shared with conservation organizations throughout the world, which allows them to better understand and protect many of the species that are studied.

Ticket prices for the event include $200 per person for the grand tasting and $750 per couple for the VIP tasting. Grand tasting is from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
