The woman said her domestic partner, identified as Jeffery Scott McCullough, 36, was the attacker.
Deputies learned that he ran away before they could arrive.
Deputies removed the woman and her children from the home and began searching for the suspect.
The next day, they found him hiding out at the home of a friend.

McCullough’s friend, Joshua O. Grizzle, 36, was also arrested for aiding and abetting McCullough.
Both men were booked into the Gordon County Jail.
