ATLANTA — The calendar might indicate the official start of summer doesn't come for another month, but unofficially, summer is here in Atlanta.
Country music superstar Kenny Chesney played Aaron's Amphitheater at Lakewood on Friday night. Jimmy Buffett brings his tour to the same venue Tuesday night.

Put the two tour stops together and even though the calendar doesn't indicate it, it certainly feels like summer.
Chesney brought his "Goin' Coastal Tour" to town after not touring for most of 2010. Chesney promised fans this would be his biggest tour in five years. He has 34 shows scheduled before the end of August.
Entertainment Weekly noted Chesney was the biggest North American ticket seller last decade — he played for a million fans every year from 2004 through 2009.
On Friday night, he played for nearly 20,000 fans in Atlanta.
