DETROIT,None — Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was injured and knocked out of the game Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
Ryan was hurt in the third quarter. As he was attempting to make a pass, teammate Will Svitek stepped on his ankle.
Ryan was able to walk off the field, but had to be taken to the Falcons' locker room. Backup quarterback Chris Redman took over in Ryan's absence. Ryan was seen jogging back out onto the field and returned to action a few plays later.
A sideline report noted that the Falcons' training staff was looking at Ryan's left knee.
