Duluth Woman Wins $52,000 A Year For Life

ATLANTA — A Duluth woman has won a Georgia Lottery prize that will last a lifetime.

Evelyn Vincent, 61, won $52,000 a year for life from matching all six winning numbers in the April 10 Win for Life drawing. The prize payout equals $1,000 a week for life.

Duluth Shell, 2880 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Duluth, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket. Winning numbers from the April 10 drawing were: 6-14-17-24-40-41 and the Free Ball was 27. Vincent checked the Georgia Lottery's Web site where she saw her winning combination.

"I was shocked," she said. "I had to look several times for it to sink in."

At the moment Vincent said she has no plans for her winnings.

"I'm just up in the air about that," she shared.

Win for Life drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. Each Win for Life ticket costs $1.

Win for Life is a multi-state game played in Georgia, Virginia and Kentucky. As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Win for Life will benefit education in the state of Georgia.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $11.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education.

All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 1.2 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
