ATLANTA,None — Police said a baby who fell 10 feet down a flight of stairs late Saturday night will survive.
The stairs were attached to an apartment on James P. Brawley Drive.
Police said they believe the fall was accident.
It appears the baby had fallen from the stairs, mother was in close proximity to the child. Looking for additional witnesses to help put together what happened," Lt. Paul Geurrucci of the Atlanta Police Department said.
Investigators said the father took the child to its grandmothers house and then rushed it to the hospital.
Police don't expect to file any charges.
Authorities said the child was in stable condition Sunday morning and was expected to survive.
