5 Men Break Into Ikea Store

ATLANTA — Atlanta police said five men broke into the Ikea store on 16th Street and stole an ATM.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Mike Petchenik arrived at the scene just after 6 a.m. Thursday and found police technicians dusting for fingerprints.

Police told Petchenik that five men pried open the doors to the Ikea store and ripped an ATM out of the concrete floor. Officials said the men did not go after anything else.

Officials said the men put the machine in the back of a van and sped off.

Police are looking into whether surveillance cameras captured the crime.

No arrests have been made.
