GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police said they arrested one person and seized 163 pounds of marijuana from an apartment.
Officials said they responded to an anonymous tip concerning drug activity at the Bridgewater Apartments on Ridge Brook Trail in Duluth on Sept. 30.
Authorities executed a search warrant on a unit at the complex and said they found evidence of drug smuggling and distribution.
Officials said they seized 138 pounds of marijuana from the apartment, and another 25 pounds of pot was seized from the renter's vehicle.
Authorities said the marijuana had a street value of approximately $743,505.
Police said the marijuana was packaged in a manner consistent with sales to those who would repackage and resell it in lesser amounts.
Police arrested the apartment renter, Angel Felix, 20, of Duluth. Police said Felix had recently moved to Gwinnett County from California.
Felix was charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana. He remains in jail.
