Alpharetta spot to host drive-in concerts every other Friday

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Music lovers, are you missing live concerts? Avalon in Alpharetta aims to feed your love of music while allowing social distancing.

The mixed-use development recently hosted Drive-in Live. Think of it as a drive-in movie, only with a concert instead of a film. With the success of the first event, Avalon added more drive-in concerts on June 26, July 10, July 24, August 7 and August 21.

Tickets cost $25 per car and proceeds will be donated to a different local charity for each event. Shows are limited to 55 cars to allow two empty parking spaces between each group.

This Friday’s show features the Kurt Thomas Band and proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Concertgoers can order meals from several Avalon restaurants, too.
