Normally, a Spider-Man animatronic performs a stunt, flying through the air, wowing the crowds below at Disney’s California Adventure.

The show starts with an actor tumbling and performing some basic stunts across a rooftop. Then the “stuntronic” is launched and disappears behind a building before an actor reappears. He then rappels down a building to meet park guests.

When it goes off without a hitch, it looks something like this, filmed and shared on YouTube last year:

But on Thursday, something went wrong and the flying Spider-Man robot missed its mark and crashed into the façade of a building.

A video of the mishap was shared on Instagram.

Disneyland officials addressed the crash, telling Deadline, “As with any flight, there can be some bumps along the way, but Spider-Man was back in action in time for his afternoon adventures in Avengers Campus!”

Repairs were also made to the building shortly after the incident.

The Avengers Campus opened at the Anaheim park on June 4, 2021, KTTV reported.
