MANCHESTER, Maine — This was no stool pigeon sitting in the cruiser of a Maine state trooper late last week. But the ride was a hoot.
Trooper Sam Tlumac rescued a stunned owl from the middle of a Manchester road Nov. 15 and then gave the bird a ride in the front seat of his vehicle, WMTW reported.
In a Facebook post, the Maine State Police said Tlumac put the bird on his front passenger seat and was advised to check the bird's wings for injuries. Tlumac did so after transporting a person to jail, WMTW reported.
