CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County police are investigating a near-drowning that occurred in the pool area of a local recreation center.
It happened Tuesday afternoon at the Virginia Burton Gray Recreation Center in the 1400 block of East Fayetteville Rd. in Riverdale.
Officials said the victim was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center, where his condition is unknown.
He is said to be between 9 and 10 years old.
Police said there were multiple kids in the pool area at the time of the incident and that a summer camp program was in session.
