Mother Pushing Stroller Struck By Car

DALTON, Ga. — A woman pushing a stroller was struck by a car near the intersection of Glenwood and Mitchell, said Dalton police spokesman Bruce Frazier.

Investigators said the mother darted out in front of a passing car, but witnesses told police that the driver was able to stop. Police said there was an infant in the stroller, but the stroller was not hit. A 6-year-old child was also with the woman.

Police said no one was seriously injured and that the woman and the two children were taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

Authorities said the driver will not be charged.
