VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A former reality television personality is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say she played a role in a real estate fraud scheme that cost victims nearly $200,000.

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office in Florida announced the arrest of 40-year-old Salome Jackson, also known as “Betty Idol,” following an 11-month investigation into an alleged fraud case involving victims in Florida.

Jackson, a former cast member of the reality television shows Love & Hip Hop and Cartel Crew, is charged with money laundering, grand theft, organized scheme to defraud, and identity theft.

According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation centered on a real estate fraud scheme that allegedly stole $198,000 from victims.

Jackson was booked into the Volusia County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
