PAULDING COUNTY, GA. — A man is wanted by West Georgia authorities who accuse him of robbery by intimidation after he hitched a ride with a woman.
The suspect asked a woman for a ride at the Extra Mile on Nebo Road in Paulding County June 12, according to Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators stated in a social media post that this happened around 3 a.m.

Security videos from the convenience store show the suspect playing slot machines before getting into a red SUV.

The victim told deputies that she agreed to give the suspect a ride when he asked her. Once they left the business, the victim got nervous as he began giving her directions that turned out to be down a dark, narrow road, according to investigators.
The suspect began demanding sexual favors from the female driver. She refused. He grabbed her cash and personal belongings. She stopped the SUV, jumped out and ran off.
The suspect also got out of the vehicle, ditching the woman’s keys and phone in the woods.
While the search for the man continues, the sheriff’s office did offer up some advice, “Y’all, don’t let people into your car—especially at 3 a.m.”
