ATLANTA — GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings toys have been recalled because they contain water beads that can cause serious ingestion, choking, and intestinal blockage hazards if swallowed.
The recall covers about 8,000 toys sold on Amazon.com from May 2026 through June 2026 for about $20.
According to the recall, the toys are translucent round squishy balls with cartoon faces, glitter-like particles and water beads inside. They come in a tan plastic container shaped like a bamboo steamer with a removable label printed with “SQUEEZY DUMPLINGS” and “SQUEEZE ME.”
The recall says water beads can expand inside a child’s body and pose deadly ingestion, choking and intestinal blockage hazards, which can lead to severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and a risk of death to a child.

These toys were the subject of a Channel 2 Action News investigation.
Channel 2 consumer investigator Justin Gray spoke with Georgia Poison Center Executive Director Gaylord Lopez, who said his office has received calls from concerned parents about squishy toys.
“We’ve had some with a few symptoms like nausea, vomiting, irritation of the skin,” Lopez said.
Lopez said many knockoff or non-name-brand versions may contain dangerous chemicals.
“The problem with these toys is that they contain really toxic chemicals,” he said.
Lopez also warned about a social media challenge that encourages people to freeze and microwave squishy toys.
“It’ll pop and then release very hot, sticky gel, which then adheres to the skin and causes second- or third-degree burns,” Lopez warned.
Laura Abbert, a nurse practitioner at Shriners Children’s Hospital, said the hospital has treated children injured by the toys.
“One child took it out of the microwave. It exploded, and she had second-degree burns all over her face, her neck, and her wrist and hands,” Abbert said.
People are urged to stop using the toys immediately and contact Chenyuanhui for a full refund.
The recall says consumers will be asked to write “RECALLED” in permanent marker on the toy and its tan plastic container, throw it away, and email a photo of the disposed toy to GIHNJSI_recall@163.com.
