ATLANTA — Parts of Georgia experienced their second winter storm of 2025 on Tuesday.
Severe Weather Team 2 tracked the storm over the past week as it formed and when it pushed through the area on Tuesday afternoon.
“It was a tricky forecast, but the snow came through about as expected. Now we have to deal with icy conditions Wednesday,” Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said.
The winter storm brought up to about 2 inches of snow over parts of north Georgia and areas south of Interstate 20.
“There was a sharp cut off in accumulating snow basically right along and near I-85 with not much, as expected, over areas north and west of Atlanta,” Meteorologist Brian Monahan said.
