What a mess! Tractor-trailer spills load during turn at Duluth intersection

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Crews had a big clean up operation after a tractor-trailer spilled its load of scrap metal at a Gwinnett County intersection.

The Duluth Police Department posted a video on its Facebook page Monday showing the tractor-trailer making a turn at Pleasant Hill and North Berkeley Lake Road. As it was making a left turn, the truck overturned, spilling its load.

Thankfully, there were no cars or people in the way of the accident.

The driver was issued two citations by the Duluth police and five violations by the Georgia Department of Public Safety.

The Facebook post has more than 100 comments and hundreds of shares.

People said they’re thankful the crash wasn’t worse than it was.

“Wow, that could’ve been a real tragedy. Thank goodness nobody was standing at that corner or making that right turn,” one person commented.
