• Thieves targeting Norcross apartment mail boxes

NORCROSS, Ga. - Norcross police are looking for two people they say stole from around 50 mail boxes at an apartment complex.

Video shows a man at the Las Colinas apartment using a tool to pry open the mail boxes and taking as much mail as he could carry.

"This not a surprise this happens all the time out here," neighbor Trina Smith told Channel 2's Amy Napier Viteri. She said it happened to her three times.

Smith said the complex has put new locks on and even changed her mail box but the problem continued.

Police said a second person was driving a light-colored four-door SUV used to drive off afterward.

Neighbor Jack Evans said thieves have hit his mail box too.

"It's a big problem. I want to move," Evans added.

"I've came out and they've all been open before like just open completely," a neighbor named Bree told Viteri.

She was worried about identity theft and sensitive tax information being taken.

Norcross police want to hear from anyone who recognizes the man in the video.
