“School Resource Officers are working closely with local and state law enforcement authorities to investigate the threat. Although at this time, they have found no evidence that the threat is credible, we take all threats seriously,” Scott wrote.
The principal asks that parents and students report any information or posts they see to the school and police instead of sharing on social media.
GCPS confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that Jones Middle School received a similar social media threat.
