Teddy Swims, GA native, had the most played song on the radio in 2024, report says

CONYERS, Ga. — A Georgia man’s breakout hit song was the most-played song on the radio last year, according to a new report.

Teddy Swims, a native of Conyers, had a smash hit with “Lose Control” in 2023. According to Luminate, “Lose Control” was the most-played song on the radio in the U.S. in 2024.

Luminate published their annual year-end music report earlier this week.

According to Luminate, Swims, 32, had a 3.26 billion audience on the radio with “Lose Control.”

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and “I Had Some Help” from Post Malone and Morgan Wallen followed up “Lose Control,” but those had an audience of about 400 million less.

While it topped the radio charts, “Lose Control” ranked fourth for top songs globally. Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” topped that list followed by Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” and Billie Eilish’s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER.”

Next month, Swims will face a stacked category for “Best New Artist” at the Grammys. Others nominated in the category include Boone, Carpenter, Shaboozey, Chappell Roan and more.

Swims’ sophomore album, “I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2)” debuts next Friday.
