Rain and storm chances for Easter weekend

Rain and storms developing over the next several days will likely impact your Easter Sunday morning plans.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan says there’s a slight chance for rain Friday, but a better chance for scattered showers and storms on Saturday. Then on Sunday, more widespread rain will move through with a cold front.

Monahan says the rain will move into northwest Georgia before sunrise and across metro Atlanta for most of the morning hours. An inch of rain is possible in some spots.

After the rain moves out, you can expect a big dip in the temperatures from the 80s to the 60s and lower 70s.
