ATLANTA — Police are asking for the public’s help after releasing new evidence photos of a woman who’s been missing since 2006.
In 2006, at least 100 volunteers helped to look for her body.
Tonjala Harris says she knows in her heart that her daughter, Artdrunetta Hobbs, is dead.
Hobbs and police are hoping to find her remains so they can get closer to justice being served.
“It’s hard, lot’s of sleepless nights, miss her so much,” Harris said.
Police believe 23-year-old Hobbs was kidnapped and murdered.
Police released new photos Thursday showing Hobbs’ car. Her car was found burned out and was left on Fulton Industrial blvd.
“No peace until we find out what happened. There is no peace because she’s not here, but we miss her. I believe in justice, in God,” Harris said.
Years of work and tips have helped police develop a suspect and they told Channel 2’s Ryan Young, they have good evidence. They said that man is currently serving time in prison on an unrelated charge, however.
“I try to do something every year to keep her memory going,” Harris said. “I miss her at Thanksgiving time, she loved my seafood dressing, I miss her being my daughter. She was my friend as well.”
