SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — Thanks to donations from a foundation and caring individuals, all four K-9s with the Sandy Springs Police Department can serve and protect with added safety.

Dr. Peter Gordon donated to help buy two protective vests for the Sandy Springs K-9 Unit.
The Sandy Springs Police Foundation donated the rest of the money to purchase the remaining two vests.

“We are truly grateful for their commitment to the safety and well-being of our K-9s and the officers who work alongside them. Their generosity and support of our K-9 Unit are deeply appreciated,” the police department said in a social media post.
