NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Earlier this week, we told you about how Georgia comedian Jeff Foxworthy is holding an estate sale to clear out some of his prized possessions from his Johns Creek home.
Now, Channel 2′s Berndt Petersen is getting new information about the sale, which ends Friday.
Foxworthy and his wife are downsizing because their kids are grown up and they recently moved into a new home in Buckhead. The plan to put their 12,000-square-foot home along High Bridge Chase in the County Club of the South development on sale in the fall.
They picked Pam Bulman, with Estate Sales Over Georgia, to run the sale, which included all the furniture, the pool table, autographed pictures and sports memorabilia.
Bulman said her first visit to the mansion was strictly top secret.
"We did not tell anyone about who we were going to visit with until after we had signed a contract," Bulman said. "He is so well-loved throughout the country, but particularly here because he's a local guy."
Bulman said most of the items for sale went quickly. Browsers were allowed to come in by appointment only, and Bulman was able to leave them laughing.
“We’ve actually had his CD’s running in the basement,” Bulman said. “We change them when one finishes. It’s just great to go down there to hear him talking and speaking and telling jokes.”
