SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — A North Fulton high school student could possibly face charges after bringing a gun to school.
The principal of North Springs High School sent home a letter to parents to alert them to the incident on Tuesday.
“Several individuals alerted school administration that a student might be in possession of a gun on campus. School police responded immediately, conducted a thorough search, and located the weapon without incident,” the district said.

The district said the student would “be disciplined in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and potential criminal charges.”
“We are thankful to the individuals who spoke up and reported this information. Doing so allowed us to act quickly and ensure the continued safety of our school community,” the letter to parents said.
