A new Starbucks with a drive-thru is planned for College Park after the Clayton County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the project.

The Starbucks is planned for 1697 Norman Drive, near the intersection of W. Fayetteville Road and Norman Drive.
The 4.2-acre property is currently zoned General Business and includes an existing gas station.

The board approved a conditional use permit requested by Design Pavilion LLC on behalf of Gas Express LLC. The approval limits the project to a café-oriented development with a drive-thru.
The project also must include at least two electric vehicle charging stations.
Planning and zoning consultants recommended approval, saying the project is consistent with the county’s comprehensive plan and compatible with the surrounding commercial area.
The vote was 4-0. District 3 Commissioner Tashe Allen was absent.
