TAYLOR COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting Saturday involving a suspect wanted for a killing in Henry County.

The suspect was injured and is stable.
The deadly shooting in Henry County happened Friday.
Turner County received an alert at around 2:02 p.m. about the murder suspect Saturday afternoon, which included Flock Safety information that the suspect had been seen earlier in Turner County.

A Turner County deputy spotted the suspect’s SUV at a convenience store in Ashburn at about 2:15 p.m.
Sheriff’s office deputies approached the vehicle and told the man to get out, but the suspect refused to leave the vehicle and drove away, authorities said.
A chase started, and law enforcement conducted a PIT maneuver that caused the SUV to crash on Main Street in Ashburn.
The man pointed a gun and fired as law enforcement approached. Several officers fired back, hitting the man several times.
No deputies were hurt.
